Effingham, IL -(Effingham Radio)- On Tuesday, August 7th, Special Pet Foods will be welcoming customers at their new location at 123 East Jefferson Avenue. They first opened their doors in December of 2015 at the Rickelman Plaza, after battling the effects of food allergies with his own dog, a German Shepherd named Sable; owner Tom Robb decided to take his passion for helping pets and turn it into a business.
He believes that pets quickly become family members and it is heartbreaking to see them suffer. He has spent many years researching pet allergies and the foods that cause them. He put together an extensive line of grain free products for cats and dogs who suffer from allergies. They also have pet toys, treats, carriers, shampoos, oral hygiene products, and a lot more.
The new location will be more convenient and easier to find for customers. It also offers a larger space that will allow them to offer additional products and services in the future. Customers can shop at the new location Tuesday through Friday 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
