Cynthia Amacher, 67, of Farina, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family, on Monday, March 23, 2026 at 10:08 pm.
She was born March 27, 1958 in Bangor, Maine, to parents Alice and Fred Giese. Before becoming sick in 2017, she worked at Quad Graphics in Effingham for 14 years. She was a strong, selfless woman who loved spending time with her family and bulldogs. She enjoyed fishing, shopping, gardening, collecting garden gnomes, and photographing much of her eventful life with loved ones.
She is survived by her husband, Michael Amacher of Farina, children Alicia Davis (Ashley), Makia Charlton, Wayne Reid (Kristin), Lisa Harper (Robert), Sherry Reid and Joshua Amacher, siblings Mata Simmons, John Lundgreen, Karen Beer (Robert) and Mark Lundgreen. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alice and Fred Giese.
She will be cremated and then buried in the Watson Cemetery. There will be no celebration of life services at this time. Arrangements are in the care of Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham.
