
Teutopolis, IL-(Effingham Radio)- The Teutopolis Unit 50 Board of Education convened on March 9, reviewing a broad slate of topics. Community input was provided by Jake Schumacher, representing the FFA Alumni & Supporters. Key approvals included financial statements, graduation events set for May, and policies and agreements for the 2026-27 academic year.
The Board renewed athletic participation and food purchasing agreements and authorized summer work postings and district-run summer camps. Reports featured updates on building projects, such as the start of construction for the junior high expansion and progress on the high school cafeteria. The Board also accepted staff resignations and announced new hires, including Lindsey Scherer as the high school agriculture teacher. Facility renovation discussions and staff handbooks are ongoing.
The next board meeting will take place on April 13.
