Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- Effingham Police Department responded to a report of an accident with injuries at 3:56 P.M. on January 19, 2026.
A vehicle driven by Nancy A. McGivney, 56, Louisville, was travelling southbound on S. Banker St. and struck a vehicle driven by Luis A. Ramos, 28, Miami, FL, which was travelling eastbound on W. Jaycee Ave. McGivney, Ramos, and two juveniles in McGivney’s vehicle all sustained injuries and were transported by Rural Med EMS to HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital for treatment. Both vehicles were towed as a result of the crash.
McGivney was cited for Disobeying a Traffic Control Device and Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle.
Rural Med EMS and Effingham Fire Department assisted in the incident.
