Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- Members of Sunrise Rotary recently heard from Greg Koester, City Planner for the City of Effingham, who shared an overview of the Effingham 2050 Comprehensive Plan.
The long-range plan, which began in September 2024 with guidance from a local steering committee, outlines priorities for future land use, transportation, public transit, and community growth. The draft plan is available for public review, and community members are encouraged to attend upcoming open houses on January 24 and January 29 at City Hall.
Final adoption is anticipated at the March 3 City Council meeting.
