Ronald Lee Goad, Sr, age 76, of Rose Hill, Illinois, passed away at 1:27 AM – Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in Saint Louis, Missouri.
A celebration of life will be held. Arrangements are under the care of the Meyer Funeral Home in Newton, Illinois.
Ronald Lee was born on May 9, 1949, in Joliet, Illinois, the son of Vernice R. and Marcelina (Logan) Goad. He worked in construction for many years.
Ronald was a member of the Moose Lodge and enjoyed shooting pool. He was an avid Chicago Cubs and Oakland Raiders Fan.
Ronald is survived by his Children – Ronald Goad, Jr of Effingham, Illinois; Jason Goad of Hidalgo, Illinois; Scott Goad of Newton, Illinois; Tamara Norris of Newton, Illinois; Tommy (Chelsea) Goad of Newton, Illinois; and Todd Goad of Hidalgo, Illinois, Grandchildren – Rylee Goad, Mylee Goad, Noah Goad, Tyden Goad, Holley Goad, Marcelina Goad, Timothy Goad, Kinsley Goad, Loki Goad, Koltan Goad, Alex Goad, Lexi Goad and Layla Goad, Sister – Pam Ritter of Scottsboro, Alabama, Brother – Rick Goad of Braidwood, Illinois
Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Chet, Dennis, Donald, Larry and Vernice Goad Jr and sisters Joan Adams, Deloris Cantrell and Bev Williams.
