Washington, DC-(Effingham Radio)- A national recall of multiple cheese products is being upgraded. The FDA said in an update that the recall has been reclassified as Class I, meaning exposure or use of the product could cause serious adverse health consequences.
The original recall by the Ambriola Company on November 25th followed routine testing that found traces of listeria bacteria in samples of cheese produced at the company’s New Jersey manufacturing facility. No illnesses linked to the recall have been confirmed.
