Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- Dozens of infants across the U.S. may have contracted botulism from tainted baby formula. The FDA says as of Wednesday, the outbreak includes at least 51 infants across 19 states with suspected or confirmed botulism who those were exposed to ByHeart Whole Nutrition infant formula.
Federal health officials say the company’s products may have been tainted since March of 2022. The ByHeart baby formula company announced a voluntary recall last month. The baby formula had been distributed nationwide and internationally both online and in stores. Families of babies who have gotten sick by the product are suing the company.
