Winter Storm Watch Issued For Most Of Area, Winter Weather Set To Impact Area Friday Night

Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- Winter weather is in the forecast early this year.

A Winter Storm Watch has been issued for most of central IL from Friday night through Saturday night where there is high confidence for impactful snow. Updated snow probabilities call for 4 inches to 6 inches through Saturday night.

There is a chance for a wintry mix with this system, but it is unclear where exactly the change from rain to snow will be. We will monitor the storm as it comes in an keep you updated as it moves through the area.
