Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- ByHeart, the baby nutrition company tn the middle of a nationwide infant formula recall, is being sued by the parents of at least two babies sickened by an ongoing infant botulism outbreak.
Two families filed complaints in federal courts against ByHeart after their babies contracted the disease. Stephen and Yurany Dexter of Flagstaff, Arizona and Michale and Hanna Everett of Richmond, Kentucky allege that ByHeart is directly responsible for their infant children being sickened with botulism. A federal complaint filed on November 12th in a U.S. District Court in Arizona shows the Dexters say they fed their baby girl ByHeart’s infant formula from July until the child developed signs of infant botulism.
A complaint filed in federal court for the Eastern District of Kentucky shows the Everett’s story is similar and that after their infant consumed the formula their child exhibited “disturbing neurological symptoms.”
