Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- Over two million pounds of ready-to-eat Korean barbecue pork jerky sold at Costco and Sam’s Club have been recalled for possible contamination with pieces of metal.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service said LSI Inc. a South Dakota-based company, recalled over two million pounds of its Golden Island Korean Barbecue recipe fire-grilled pork jerky. The company issued the recall after customers complained about finding small pieces of wiry metal in the pork jerky. LSI told the agency the metal originated from the conveyor belt used in production. Consumers who purchased this product are advised to throw it out or return it for a refund at place of purchase.
