Teutopolis, IL-(Effingham Radio)- At the Teutopolis Community Unit School District Board meeting, two Grade School students shared firsthand accounts from their recent after-school collaboration with Benchworkx, detailing how the program helped expand their skillsets and spark greater interest in hands-on learning. Their enthusiasm was met with recognition by Board members.
Fiscal matters were addressed as the Board approved the Treasurer’s Reports, Payment of Bills, and the Annual Financial Report. Consent agenda items included minutes approval, the FY26 Financial Audit Proposal, maintenance grants, and upcoming THS overnight trips to major student events.
Preliminary plans for a Teutopolis Junior High expansion—prompted by sixth-grade transition needs—moved forward, with bids set for December review. Superintendent North presented district updates, including strategic communication efforts, ongoing grant initiatives, and anticipation of the ISBE School Report Card’s release on October 30. New 2025-26 volunteer coaches and staff were also approved, pending background clearance.
The next regular meeting is scheduled for November 17, 2025, at 6 pm.
