
Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- M. C. I. Foods Inc. has recalled over 90-thousand pounds of its ready to-eat breakfast burritos and wraps due to possible listeria contamination.
The Food Safety and Inspection Service announced the recall on Saturday after M.C.I Foods notified the FSIS of a positive listeria contamination after routine testing. The recalled burrito and wraps were produced between September 17th and October 14th and were shipped to food service institutions nationwide, including schools. The FSIS said, Los Cabos, El Mas Fino and Midamar brand products are included in the USDA’s National School Lunch and Breakfast programs.
Affected foods include: El Mas Fino’s breakfast burritos that include eggs and Los Cabos’ breakfast wraps that include eggs.
