Original Story:
Below is the message distributed by Vandalia Superintendent of Schools Dr. Jennifer Garrison and Vandalia Police Chief Jeff Ray–
This is Dr. Garrison and Chief Ray. We have an active bomb threat at VCHS. Law enforcement are present. VCHS students are being moved to VJHS. Parents, if you feel you should come pick up your child, please report to the large parking lot off Veterans Street and report to the main entrances of VES and VJHS to pick up students. Students that drive are not allowed to leave without a parent picking them up. Please be patient with us as your child’s safety is of utmost importance to us.
