Washington, DC-(Effingham Radio)- President Trump is suggesting the FCC should take licenses away from TV networks that are overwhelmingly critical of him. Trump made the remarks Thursday aboard Air Force One, a day after Disney-owned ABC took Jimmy Kimmel off the air indefinitely.
The FCC had threatened to take action following the comedian’s comments about the alleged assassin of Charlie Kirk. When asked if FCC Commissioner Brendan Carr should go after other talk show hosts, Trump said maybe their licenses should be taken away.
The president said when all the evening shows are critical of him, “they’re not allowed to do that. They’re an arm of the Democrat Party.”
