Teutopolis, IL-(Effingham Radio)- During the recent school board meeting, leaders reviewed and approved the Fiscal Year 2026 budget following a public hearing and discussion.
Despite deficit projections for both the Education and Operations & Maintenance funds—largely due to ongoing facility updates and summer projects—the budget was adopted unanimously. The board ratified the Treasurer’s Reports, authorized payments of bills, and consented to policy updates and salary compensation reports. Building and department heads shared quarterly reports, with the superintendent noting a district-wide enrollment increase to 1,173 students, up 17 from last year.
Delays were reported on new trophy case installations, but most cafeteria renovations are nearly done. Coaching staff changes were acknowledged, and new appointments were conditionally approved.
The next board meeting takes place October 20, 2025, at 6 p.m.
