Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- The 708 Board met on Wednesday and discussed finances and requests for funding.
Board members heard that the 708 Board is over budget for this year by about $4k, and it is likely they will be over budget slightly next year as well. This is due to overall rising costs and more requests for funding.
The Board also looked into some changes to the by-laws, Dave Campbell said he will look into it further before any decisions are made. It was tabled until the next meeting.
The Board approved funding requests for:
- SAFE in the amount of $32k
- One Hope United in the amount of $15k
- Heartland Human Services in the amount of $70k
- New Light Counseling in the amount of $24,500
- Griffin Therapeutic Solutions in the amount of $38,500
- Calming the Cortex Counseling in the amount of $2500
The total amount of funding available for the board to allocate is $180k. The above amounts approved are reductions across all requests so the Board is closer to being within their budget.
