- Effingham County Sheriff’s Office arrested 33 year old Kamon D. Collins of Mason for an Effingham County mittimus to jail. Kamon was taken to the Effingham County Jail.
- Illinois State Police arrested 25 year old Charity Mwesige of St. Louis, MO for a Vermilian County FTA warrant for speeding. Charity posted bond and was released.
- Altamont Police arrested 19 year old Cecil L. Gillespie of Altamont for domestic battery. Cecil was taken to the Effingham County Jail.
- Illinois State Police arrested 43 year old Willie D. Pittman, Jr. of Latta, SC for a Lake County warrant for DUI (2 counts), driving while license suspended (2 counts), improper lighting, and improper lane usage. Willie was taken to the Effingham County Jail.
August 31, 2025
- Effingham County Sheriff’s Office arrested 45 year old Felix G. Mejia of St. Louis, MO for operating a vehicle with no valid license and operating an uninsured vehicle. Felix was given an NTA and was released.
- Effingham County Sheriff’s Office arrested 47 year old Joshua H. Wirth of Effingham for a Jasper County FTA warrant for theft. Joshua was transported to the Jasper County Jail.
- Effingham City Police arrested 46 year old Travis M. Tarrant of Watson for possession of <5g of meth, possession of burglary tools, possession of drug paraphernalia, theft <$500, and obstructing a police officer. Travis was given an NTA and was released,
- Effingham City Police arrested 44 year old James L. Hardesty of Effingham for obstructing a police officer, possession of <5g of meth, and theft <$500. James was given an NTA and was released.
September 1, 2025
- Effingham City Police arrested 19 year old Keyona R. Greene of Effingham for illegal possession of alcohol by person under 21. Keyona was given a pretrial NTA and was released.
- Effingham City Police arrested 19 year old Danielle J. McKibben of Teutopolis for DUI and disobeying a traffic control signal. Danielle was given a pretrial NTA and was released.
- Effingham City Police arrested 32 year old Dominicqua N. Contreras of Effingham for criminal damage to property. Dominicqua was given a pretrial NTA and was released.
- Effingham City Police arrested 44 year old James L. Hardesty of Beecher City for criminal trespass. James was taken to the Effingham County Jail.
- Effingham City Police arrested 34 year old Rhett W. Pettit of Effingham for domestic battery and interfering with a domestic violence report. Rhett was taken to the Effingham County Jail.
