Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- Ford is recalling hundreds of thousands of its pickup trucks.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says 100-thousand F-150 pickups are being recalled because “the rear axle hub bolt may fatigue and break, which can result in damage to the axle hub splines” and increase the risk of crash. Dealers are expected to replace the left and right rear axle shaft assemblies, free of charge.
Meanwhile, more than 355-thousand of certain Ford 2025-2026 pickup truck models are being recalled due to an issue with the instrument panel display. The issue will be fixed with a software update either by a dealer or an over-the-air update.
