Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- Illinois State Police Troop 9 responded shortly after midnight to a single-vehicle crash on I-57 southbound, near milepost 160 in Effingham County.
Preliminary reports indicate a silver Harley Davidson motorcycle, merging onto exit 160 next to Keller Drive, left the roadway for unknown reasons and collided with a wooden post. The rider, 43-year-old Justin Kresin of Effingham was transported to a nearby hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Authorities are working to determine the cause of the crash. The investigation is ongoing, and no additional details have been released at this time.
