Union Township, IL-(Effingham Radio)- A two-vehicle collision on Highway 45 at 500th Avenue in Union Township sent two people to the hospital Tuesday.
Effingham County Sheriff’s Department says the crash occurred shortly after 11:30 am, when a northbound vehicle driven by Yvonne M. Tannahill of Cisne attempted to turn left onto 500th Avenue, failing to yield to an oncoming southbound vehicle operated by Robert H. Willison of Flora. The impact resulted in a head-on crash.
Both drivers were transported to HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital in Effingham and are reported to have non-incapacitating injuries.
