Two-Vehicle Accident With Injuries In Watson Township

Watson Township, IL-(Effingham Radio)- A collision on US Highway 45 in Watson Township involved a Ford Escape and a Chevrolet Malibu. The driver of the Malibu rear ended the Escape and pushed it into a ditch.

Both drivers, Merle M. Smith, aged 79 and Dana M. Chasteen, age 49, were transported for medical treatment. The driver of the Ford Escape received a citation for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
