Southwestern Clay County in south central Illinois...
* Until 700 PM CDT.
* At 431 PM CDT, the Flora Volunteer Fire Department reported flood
waters receding across the city of Flora. A few rural roads on
the edge of town remain impassable.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

IMPACT...Standing water and ponding of water across the county
will remain a nuisance through the evening hours.

Another round of potentially heavy rainfall is forecast across
portions of central and southeast Illinois Sunday afternoon.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become
unstable and unsafe.
Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.
