Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- Traffic delays are expected today as crews conduct essential sewer repairs across town.
North Maple Street is closed between West Franklin Avenue and West St. Anthony Avenue, with the closure in effect until 4:30 this afternoon. This road closure will continue tomorrow 7/18/25 from 7AM to 4PM.
A separate repair has also closed West Jefferson Avenue from North Maple Street to North Mulberry Street, with that section expected to reopen by 2 p.m. This road closure will continue tomorrow from 6AM to 2PM.
Motorists are encouraged to plan alternate routes and allow extra travel time while these improvements take place throughout the day. If you have questions, call the City at 217-342-2366.
