Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- Nearly 150-thousand pounds of bologna is being recalled nationwide. Gaiser’s European Style Provisions Inc. issued the recall due to misbranding, and the USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service said the recalled products contain undeclared “meat or poultry source materials.”
According to a recall alert, “FSIS does not expect any adverse health effects” and “there have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these product.” The ready-to-eat bologna items were produced between March 20th and June 20th of this year, and consumers who have purchased the products are advised not to eat them.
