
Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- The Effingham County Board on Monday approved ordinances to set guidelines for wind and solar projects in the County. The measures are now in place for any individual or entity to bring solar or wind farms to Effingham County, and it aligns with state guidelines.
The Board also recognized Sherry Shamhart for her 35 years of service with the County as a public defender.
Board members also approved:
- Employee Assistance Program Limited to only Employees of the Sheriff’s Office, 911, Coroner’s Office, EMA, Health Department, and Probation Department
- Use of Historic Courtyard and Gazebo by FACE on June 19, July 10, August 14, and September 11, 2025
- Acceptance of Daughters of the American Revolution Bench Donation for Historic Courtyard
- Disbursement of $233.00 in General Funds to Effingham County Museum for Water Bill from Sod Maintenance
- Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for Historic Courtyard and Gazebo on June 20, 2025 at 7:30pm Pending Approvals from Representatives
