Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- The Effingham County Legislative/Personnel Committee of the Whole met on Monday and moved the heavily debated wind and solar ordinances to the full board for their consideration.
The legislation sets fees for the sites, applications, and establishes minimum fence heights to deter wildlife from entering the areas. The committee agreed that getting some form of legislation on the books is best, as it can always be amended as needed.
Both ordinances now move to the full board for discussion and possible approval. Doug McCain abstained from the vote.
