UNIT: Illinois State Police (ISP) Troop 9
LOCATION: IL-33 at 2100th St., Dieterich, Effingham County
DATE and TIME: June 7, 2025, at approximately 10:528 p.m.
BRIEF SYNOPSIS: Preliminary information indicates the following occurred: ISP Troop 9 responded to the location above for a two-unit traffic crash. A Chevrolet Silverado was traveling westbound on Highway 33 approaching the intersection of Highway 33 and 2100th St. A Chevrolet Impala was traveling southbound on 2100th St, disregarded the stop sign, and continued into the intersection. The Silverado was unable to slow down and struck the Impala. The driver and passenger of the Impala and the driver of the Silverado were all transported to an area hospital with injuries. IL-33 was closed and later reopened at approximately 12:20 a.m.
