Clay County Highway Department Announces Road Work Starting Monday

Clay County, IL-(Effingham Radio)- From the Clay County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page:

The Clay County Highway Department will be working on Big Four Road from Saddle Club Road to Wilcox Bridge Lane beginning Monday June 9th. The construction will require lane closures and delays. Expect flaggers, truck traffic, heavy equipment, dust and loose gravel. Please consider an alternative route.

The highway department will make every effort to make the road safely passable. Please use caution and reduce speed when approaching construction zones. Thank you in advance for your patience as we improve the transportation system in Clay County.
