Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- The annual Memorial Day Ceremony at Oakridge Cemetery was held at 10:30am today with a big crowd gathered to remember our fallen heroes.
Dave Althoff was MC, Commander of the American Legion Post 120.
The invocation was given by Rev. Mike Burdick of St. John Lutheran Church. Guest Speaker was Gary Buehnerkemper.
The ceremony concluded with the 21 gun salute led by Bill Copple, Sargeant at Arms. After the Ceremony at Oakridge, an additional ceremony was held at Woodlawn Cemetery.
