Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- The Transportation Committee held their monthly meeting Wednesday and heard updates from Effingham County Public Transportation (ECPT), E-Trax, CSS, and PCOM.
ECPT reported that they have hired another driver, and may be looking at hiring another driver. They also said they are preparing for cuts at the federal level that will affect their budget, but will look at grants available for continuing projects. E-Trax reports they will be looking at running more promotions and ads to help revenue. The latest update on the Rebuild Round 3 grant has hit another snag, this time some paperwork issues are the cause.
Pete Niccum with CSS reported that IDOT inspections are underway, and as a result, 3 busses were required to get new tires.
PCOM stated they are still waiting on their excess vehicle to be finished up.
