Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- The Effingham City Council met for their regular meeting Tuesday and started off by recognizing a new firefighter and two new promotions. Blake Poe was introduced as a new firefighter for EFD, and Jake Burrell and Chad Berg were introduced as paid on-call second Lieutenants.
The Council also discussed a possible new mural along Jefferson Avenue in Downtown Effingham. The mural would be a project headed by HSHS Medical Group and Stang Arts. The Council also:
- Approved group medical and health insurance coverage
