Washington, DC-(Effingham Radio)- Millions of people are at risk of losing health insurance coverage due to possible Medicaid cuts. The Congressional Budget Office released an analysis on Wednesday as lawmakers look to slash spending to pay for President Trump’s domestic policy agenda.
The analysis found that limiting state provider taxes would save 668-billion-dollars, but it would mean an additional three-point-nine million uninsured people by 2034. Republicans have tasked the House Energy and Commerce Committee to find 880-billion-dollars in savings, however, a previous CBO analysis showed that number was not achievable over the next decade without cutting Medicaid.
