Parts Of Wabash Avenue To Be Closed Starting Next Week

Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- From the City of Effingham:

A company called Cobra will be doing some road patching on West Wabash Ave.

West Wabash Ave. will be closed in different sections starting from the underpass by Effingham Asphalt (1306 West Wabash Ave.) to IDOT (602 West Wabash Ave.) from 3-10-25 to 3-31-25. (weather permitting).

• Monday (3/10) to Wednesday (3/12) there will be traffic control via temporary signage and flaggers.
• Thursday (3/13) and Friday (3/14) they will be staging the barricades for the road closures the following week.

Weather pending of course, we anticipate having Wabash completed and opened to traffic by April 1st. They will work down the block in the west bound lane, then work their way back in the east bound lane. All residents and businesses will be able to get through, but please avoid the area if not necessary.
