Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- Catholic Charities has released a statement on the potential of a federal funding freeze, and said while they do not receive federal funding, it could have an indirect effect on their resource reserves.
“Effingham Catholic Charities does not utilize government funding to operate its programs so we do not anticipate an impact on our services locally. In general, we are concerned about the impact of the funding freeze on the poor and that our resources could be strained if there are substantial cuts to government assistance programs.”
