Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- Below you can see what the schedule is for Effingham High School Homecoming Week. The theme is “A Night in the Stars.”

2024 HOMECOMING ACTIVITIES

Monday, September 23  –

• Special kickoff welcome for students before school – Passing out treats

• PJ Day

• Special Homecoming Week Library Activities – Spirit Rock Painting, EHS Yearbook Scavenger Hunt, Spirit Button Making, and 1st Annual EHS Scavenger Hunt

• Movie on the Turf – 7:15 pm – Klosterman Field – Showing “HOME” – Free to all students

Tuesday, September 24 –

• Neon Day

Wednesday, September 25th  –

• Country vs. Country Club

• • Parade @ 6:00 pm –

    • Line up on 2nd street

    • Down Jefferson

    • Turn south on Cherry Street To Grove Avenue

    • End at EHS

    • Students will be bussed to the start of the parade from EHS parking lot

  • Parade Marshall – David Woltman

  • 2024 Powder Puff – 7:00 pm

    • Following the parade

• Game Donations to Effingham Imagination Library

Thursday, September 26th

• Anything but a Backpack Day – No shopping carts

• Coronation Practice – 7th Hour

• Voting for King & Queen on the Chamber during English class

Friday, September 27th

• School Spirit Day

• Pep Assembly hosted by EHS Pep Club during the school day

• Coronation @ 6pm in EHS Gymnasium (moved due to weather forecast)

• Homecoming game @ 7:00 pm vs. Charleston

Saturday, September 30 – Dance @ 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm (EHS gym)

• Dance tickets will be on sale during lunch hours September 16-25.  Tickets will not be sold at the door. Tickets are $10.00.
