There are some remaining issues with the non-emergency lines at the Effingham County Sheriffโs Office. If assistance is needed and your call does not go through on the administrative line, you may dial 911 to reach the county PSAP.
Assistance can also be obtained by calling the Effingham City Police Department at 217-347-0772. All administrative lines at the City are working at this time.
We are hopeful all services will return to normal soon!
Many flights around the U.S. are still grounded this morning over a communications issue stemming from a security update rolled out by the cybersecurity firm CrowdStrike. The FAA says all flights from Delta, United, American and Allegiant were grounded because of a technical issue. A statement from American Airlines says they have since been able to safely re-establish their operations. Itโs unclear how long the grounding will continue for the other airlines.
