Farina, IL-(Effingham Radio)- On March 6th, South Central FFA had a successful night at the District 4 Proficiency Awards. They all worked very hard and positively represented South Central.
Illinois FFA recognizes students in forty-seven different areas based on their work-based learning, also known as Supervised Agricultural Experiences or SAE. FFA members who demonstrate outstanding agricultural skills and competencies through record keeping, leadership, and academic achievement may be considered for this award. SAE’s allow students to learn by owning and operating an agricultural business, working or serving an internship at an agriculture-based business, or conducting an agriculture-based scientific experiment and reporting results.
Callaway Smith placed first in the area of Wildlife Production and Management! He will be moving on to State Awards later this month.
