Mattoon, IL-(Effingham Radio)- One person is in custody after a shooting led to a lockdown at a school in Mattoon.
Police say officers were dispatched yesterday to the 300 block of Charleston Avenue on a report of an active shooter. Investigators determined that a man had shot at another person inside a home. The suspect ran off and St. John’s Lutheran School was put on Lockdown. Less than an hour later, the man was located and arrested and the lockdown was lifted.
