Mattoon, IL-(Effingham Radio)- The Strasburg American Legion Auxiliary #289 will again be collecting items for the homebound veterans through Illiana VA’s outpatient clinic in Mattoon.
Community members may take items to the Strasburg Village Office on a Monday, Wednesday, or Thursday by November 16th.
Needed items include:
- Toothbrushes
- Regular Size Toothpaste
- Stick Deodorant
- Shaving Cream
- Razors
- 3-n-1 Soap
- Large Print Puzzle Books
- Deck of Playing Cards
- Towel
- Hand Towel
- Washcloth (Set of all 3)
- Gloves
- Winter Hat (Stocking Hat)
- Individual Chips
- Hard Candy
- Candy Bars
- Individual Crackers
- Snack Cakes (example Little Debbie Christmas Cakes, Twinkies, Swiss Rolls, etc.)
- Snack packages of Cookies
