Flora, IL-(Effingham Radio)- Clay County Coroner Bryce Henry has released the following report:
On Sunday, October 29th just after 7pm, emergency responders were dispatched to an area just west of the intersection of Highway 50 and Big Four Road. Initial investigation revealed that two pedestrians, 20 year old Bayley A. Walker and 13 year old Bryson A. Walker, both of Flora, were travelling in the eastbound lane of US 50 due to their vehicle being disabled in the westbound lane, where they were struck by a passing vehicle. They were pronounced deceased at the scene by Coroner Henry.
The crash is still under investigation. Responding agencies were the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, Clay County Ambulance Service, Clay County Fire Department, Illinois State Police, and the Clay County Coroner’s Office.
