Washington, DC-(Effingham Radio)- Resources are being stretched by the American Red Cross as natural disasters continue to multiply around the country.
More than 15-hundred disaster workers are spread across 25 relief operations coast-to-coast, helping people impacted by recent wildfires, storms, and more. That includes teams preparing for Hurricane Idalia to make landfall in Florida on Wednesday. They’re working with local and state officials to coordinate response efforts and get supplies to communities in need. The Red Cross also continues to support victims of the wildfires on Maui, as well as Montana, Washington, and Oregon. Anyone who wants to help with relief efforts is encouraged to give blood or donate to Red Cross Disaster Relief.
