St. Elmo, IL-(Vandalia Radio)- A man was struck and killed by a train early yesterday morning in St. Elmo.
Fayette County Coroner David Harris says the man has been identified as 46 year old Richard Baron of St. Elmo. Coroner Harris says he was struck and killed by a westbound train early Thursday morning in St. Elmo. He adds the investigation into the incident is continuing by the Fayette County Coroner’s Office, the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office and the Railroad Police. Coroner Harris adds the St. Emo Fire Department and railroad personnel also assisted at the scene.
No further information is being released at this time.
