ATV-Vehicle Accident In Jackson Township Results In Injuries

Jackson Township, IL-(Effingham Radio)- The Following Preliminary Information is Being Released by the Effingham County Sheriff’s Office:

WHAT:                      

• Single Vehicle Crash With Injuries

WHERE: 

• 800th Street at 1100th Avenue, Jackson Township

WHEN:

• August 7 at 12:33AM

VEHICLES:

• Unit 1- Green 2021 Honda Side By Side

DRIVERS:                 

• Unit 1- Jason J. Suckow, 28, of Mason

PASSENGERS:

• Unit 1- Jacob J. Kuhns, 28, of Effingham

PRELIMINARY:      

• Unit 1 was westbound on 1100th Avenue near the intersection with 800th Street. The driver lost control of the ATV and left the roadway to the right. Unit 1 overcorrected and crossed back over the roadway to the left. Unit 1 struck the ditch and laid over on the passenger side.

CITATIONS:

• Driver of Unit 1 was cited for DUI alcohol and improper operation of an ATV on the roadway

TRANSPORTS:

• The passenger of Unit 1 was taken to HSHS St. Anthony’s Hospital with non-incapacitating injuries.
