Farina, IL-(Effingham Radio)- South Central FFA participated in 3 State CDE’s on Friday, April 21st. These events were held at University of Illinois and Parkland College.
The first one was State Horticulture. These participants were Shelby Smithson, Micah Kraemer, Morgan Robb, and Kinlee Thompson. South Central team placed 26th out of 173 teams.
The next event was State Poultry. These participants were Kage Hiestand, Abi Shuler, Hailey Shuler, Wyatt Iler, and Miranda Yates. They placed 16th out of 47 teams. Hailey placed 15th and Wyatt placed 16th individually out of 211 students.
The last event was State Livestock. These participants were Maddox Robb, Drew Hassebrock, Blaze Courson, Karli Holmes, and Addisyn Sigrist. South Central team placed 7th overall out of 122 teams! Maddox placed 8th individually out of 549 students! Other top scorers were Blaze and Drew!
