Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- The following was released by the Effingham Community Schools’ Facebook Page:Unit #40 Schools would like to congratulate 2001 alum Nathan Jones for being selected to participate in the @NASA year-long analog ground mission that will simulate living on #Mars. The mission is set to begin in June at the Johnson Space Center in Houston. Crew members will live in a #3dprinted 1700 square-foot habitat. The work will help @NASA develop a deeper understanding of the challenges that must be overcome to ensure future successful missions to the planet Mars. Nathan will serve as the medical officer.
