Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- The western portion of our listening area has a slight risk of seeing severe weather on Saturday.
According to the National Weather Service in Lincoln, the chances for severe weather will increase on Saturday in the late afternoon and into the evening.
The severe threat could continue into the overnight hours.
Along a line extending from Jacksonville to Springfield to Effingham, a slight risk or a 2 out of 5 severe risk is possible.
The rest of Central and Southeastern Illinois has a level 1 out of 5, or a marginal risk.
Hazards with these storms include isolated hail the size of quarters and larger and isolated wind gusts over 60mph.
