Washington, DC-(Effingham Radio)- There’s a new push in Congress to make Daylight Saving Time permanent. Florida Senator Marco Rubio introduced a bill to do so this week.
Rubio last year put forward a similar bill that passed the Senate, but failed to clear the House. Under the bill, states participating in Daylight Saving Time would lose an hour of daylight in the morning from November through February.
A number of states in recent years have been pushing to make the time change permanent.
