Altamont Win Streak Continues As Indians Win 74-59 Over Dieteirch

On Friday night in Altamont on a special Ballin For A Cure night, it was a successful night raising money for two families in the community affected by cancer. It was successful on the court for the home team as well. As Altamont goes on to win 74-59.

The game started off well for Dieterich as the Maroons got off to an early lead thanks to some early threes from Caleb Gephart. But then Avery Jahraus not to be out done, came out on fire from beyond the arc making three of  his own Jahraus scored 15 in the first quarter alone.  Eli Miller also came in and got in on the three ball party, making one of his own to help Altamont get out to the 25-16 lead.

In the second quarter Jahraus would not cool off as he added three more from distance to make it six for the half. Jahraus would have 24 first half points. Gephart for Dieterich made a couple more threes and Lucas Westendorf also tried to keep the Maroons in it. The lead for Altamont got up to double digits leading 43-33 at the half.

Westendorf and Gephart would engineer a comeback for Dieterich. As they both would combine for 10 in the quarter to pull the Maroons within four. But every time Dieterich looked to get back in it, the Indians would throw a counter punch. Jahraus would be kept quiet in the 2nd half but it was Dillan Elam who came up big in the third. Elam  poured in eight, as Altamont would push their lead back to 14 by the quarters end 63-49.

Altamont would close it on the 4th with some free throws from Elam, Jared Hammer and Keinon Eirhart. Indians would go on to win 74-59.

Altamont improves to 12-3  and 2-0 in the NTC. Indians are back in action on Saturday vs Woodlawn.

Dieterich falls to 8-7 and 2-3 in the NTC. Maroons are back in action on Saturday as well participating the North Clay  Shootout against Ramsey.
