On Tuesday, December 13, at approximately 11:30 a.m. the Clay County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a possible overdose at a residence. The sheriff’s office along with members of the Southeastern Illinois Drug Task Force and Clay County Ambulance responded to the residence. Once law enforcement checked the residence and the individuals located at the property, it was determined that no one required medical attention.
As a result of the incident Nathan E. Yarnell, 31, of Louisville, was arrested on a Clay County Warrant (bond $10,000, 10% to apply) for FTA on the original charge of Possession of Methamphetamine and Illinois Department of Corrections for Violation of Parole (No Bond). Natalie R. Seafler, 38, of Charleston, was arrested on a Coles County Warrant (bond $5,000, 10% to apply) for FTA on the original charge of Possession of Methamphetamine. Alexis L. Barnick, 29, of Louisville was arrested on Violation of Bond, bond had not been set at the time of this release. Another individual was detained during the incident and transported to the sheriff’s office. The property was secured and turned over to the Drug Task Force for further investigation.
A search warrant was obtained and executed at that residence. As a result Joshua L. Bass, 45, of Louisville, who had been previously detained, was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine. Bass’ bond was later set in amount of $20,000 (10% to apply).
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office and Southeastern Illinois Drug Task Force were assisted by the Clay County Ambulance and the U.S. Marshall Service. The charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
